My doctor put me on a diet when I was 9
I’ve always been a big girl, even bigger than my two brothers. When I was 9, a doctor put me on a strict low-calorie diet. I just remember being hungry all the time.
At my first weigh-in, I’d gained a pound and the doctor told me I couldn’t have any birthday cake. That was the moment my mum decided restrictive dieting wasn’t right for me.
